Dear Diary,
Again on the topic of perception. I’m beginning to grasp a delicate balance between the value we place on “intuition” and the humble recognition that we don’t always know better. The principles I’m studying teach that our perception often needs correction. Yet, we seldom take the time to engage in such reflection. We might be constrained by time, but perhaps we were never taught to routinely question our perceptions.
For instance, I might believe someone harbors negative feelings about me. Drawing on intuition, I could find signs that back up this belief. However, what if this is just another perception that requires correction? What if, as some metaphysical teachings suggest, changing my perspective can alter the very manifestation of what I observe?
So here’s the paradox:
- My intuition might be correct, suggesting the person has mixed feelings towards me.
- But by adjusting my perception, the manifestation of those feelings can change, possibly even rewriting past instances of such sentiments.
What an intriguing concept to ponder on!
