Dear Diary,
Today, as I reflect upon the teachings of A Course in Miracles, I’ve begun to ponder the idea that my current relationship status as “single” might not be accidental or undesirable from a higher perspective. Consciously, of course, I yearn for a deep and meaningful relationship where mutual love is shared. But, drawing from what I’ve learned, if something doesn’t manifest in our lives, it might be because, on some level, we don’t truly desire it.
Given the belief that the Holy Spirit has a guiding hand in orchestrating encounters in our lives, and knows what’s best for our spiritual journey, perhaps my current singlehood is precisely the environment I need for my spiritual growth at this juncture. In essence, what I may truly desire during this phase isn’t just “a relationship” but the groundwork for a “holy relationship”.
The concept of a “holy relationship” as per A Course in Miracles is profound. It speaks of two whole beings coming together to celebrate and amplify the glory of God. Admittedly, I’m still trying to fully comprehend the depths of this concept. Though, on a simpler note, I can’t deny the desire for the comforting presence of a kindred spirit by my side.
