Dear Diary,
Today’s decision, though small, may set the stage for bigger changes. I’ve been invited to a dinner tonight, and I’ve chosen to attend. This particular social setting triggers fears of judgment or ridicule in me.
Yet, upon introspection, I realized that this can be an opportunity to show up with authenticity, which is indeed one of my precious values lately; this recognition bolstered my courage. So, the more significant decision at hand is this: I will enter this gathering with an open heart and a determination to be genuinely myself, to be authentic. If I’m not accepted as I am, it’s okay. Tonight, my main goal is to be true to myself.
In my reflective process, a vital question surfaced: “Am I proud of who I am and what I’ve become?” If, anytime, my initial response leans towards the negative, well, I should just to remember I do should be proud! I just need to remember that!
