Dear Diary,
Sometimes I just feel sad, and today, that was my predominant feeling at a certain point. Perhaps it was work-related frustration, elusive results, setbacks, or something else. At one point, during a moment of sadness, I remembered my insight about mindsets: they’re generally unconscious, but you can always question yourself – “which mindset is activated within me right now?” – bringing it into your awareness, and possibly, changing it. Feeling sad and recalling this insight, I realized that even my sadness was a mindset! I understand: sadness is typically viewed as an emotion, not a mindset. But distinguishing between emotions caused by legitimate reasons and those arising from the mindset we’re currently “wearing” could be incredibly valuable.
