Dear Diary,
There are so many nuances to this ancient wound I’m in touch with—nuances I feel I only understand when I go deep, fully connected to the wound. When I return to a more ordinary state of mind, that understanding fades, and even the memory of it seems to vanish.
But to sum it up, the wound I share with my part of collective humanity is this: I came into this world and this body with the legitimate expectation of being loved as the holy Son of God that I am. That didn’t happen—not for me, nor for my fellow human travelers who share this mission of healing with me.
This reminds me of my strategy for healing:
- Sit in meditation for five minutes every hour.
- Call upon the Holy Spirit to take charge of my mind and all the thoughts within it.
- Call upon the Holy Love of God to come and heal me, and that ancient wound.
That’s pretty much it, but here’s another thing that seems to help:
- Ask yourself, how would you have liked to be loved?
A cry of pain might rise from the unconscious memory held in my body.
And then comes the realization: the love you seek outside is only a reflection of the love you will find within. Find that love first, and everything else will follow.
