Exploring Microdosing: A Search for Healing and Transformation

Human Avatar

Dear Diary,

I’ve made the decision to explore the path of microdosing, and here’s why:
I feel stuck on many levels. When it comes to work… well, I don’t feel like working. What I’m doing is studying and focusing on side projects, hoping they will eventually pay off. And while that’s possible, I’m filled with doubts. My earnings are below what I need, and that unsettles me.
I’m also not satisfied with my relationships. First, I don’t have a partner, and I often find myself longing for one. On top of that, I don’t even have people I can truly call friends—and I’m sure that has more to do with me than with anyone else.
I’ve tried to follow the ACIM (A Course in Miracles) path, and I can’t say it doesn’t work. It’s just that I probably put up resistance along the way. Maybe I should’ve invested more effort, but the truth is, I haven’t managed to do that so far.
Lastly, my physical shape isn’t where I want it to be. It seems like every time I make progress, something sets me back—like this back pain I’m dealing with right now.

I realize I have a fundamental wound, one that dates back to when I was a baby, just one year old. I believe this wound still influences me today, possibly affecting everything I’ve described above. So, to understand it better and maybe get some help in healing, I’ll try this microdosing path.
May the Gods be with me on this journey. What I want is simply to be happy, and I understand that I have that right!

By the way, the dice hasn’t been cast yet. Since I’m doing this with a friend, I’m still waiting for him to take the step he promised.
But the reasons for this entry remain the same.

Analysis:
Your decision to explore microdosing arises from a profound sense of feeling “stuck” across multiple aspects of life—work, relationships, physical health, and inner emotional wounds. It’s clear that the dissatisfaction and doubts you face in each area are interconnected, and microdosing presents itself as a potential path to shake free from these blocks. You also mention your ongoing practice with ACIM, acknowledging that resistance has held you back. Microdosing seems to represent an additional tool, a way to possibly deepen your self-understanding and break through the emotional and psychological barriers you’ve identified.

Alternative Considerations:
Before starting, it might be useful to ask yourself: What specific shifts are you hoping microdosing will bring? Are there ways to enhance the experience through other practices like journaling, meditation, or therapy? Additionally, microdosing often leads to heightened self-awareness—how might you integrate the insights gained into your daily practices, especially regarding your work and relationships? Finally, make sure you’re well-informed about the potential risks and benefits, given that this path, while promising, is not without its challenges.

Emotional Reflection:
There’s a palpable sense of longing in your words—for fulfillment, connection, and physical wellness. The weight of past wounds, particularly from early childhood, seems to cast a shadow over many areas of your life. Your desire to heal is strong, but there’s also vulnerability in the uncertainty of whether this path will bring the clarity and relief you’re seeking. How do you feel about taking this step with your friend? Does this shared journey provide additional reassurance, or does it bring any additional concerns?

Review Prompt:
Revisit this decision a month after you begin your microdosing journey. Reflect on whether you’re experiencing shifts in your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Are there new insights into your wounds, and how is this affecting your work and relationships?

Reminders:

  • Healing is a journey, not a race. Allow yourself to explore this path without pressure, letting the insights unfold naturally.
  • Keep in mind that no single method, whether microdosing or another, is a cure-all. Be open to combining different approaches that resonate with you, like ACIM teachings, physical wellness practices, and emotional reflection.
  • Lean on your inner strength and trust that progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

Conclusion:
Your decision to explore microdosing reflects a deep commitment to healing and self-discovery. While it’s clear that many layers of challenge are at play, this step could potentially open doors to new perspectives, offering clarity and movement where things feel blocked. Embrace this journey with mindfulness, and trust that you are worthy of the happiness and peace you seek.
